2010 President's Challenge
March saw the nippers participate in the President's Challenge where the club president, on foot, races the nippers on boards, back to the clubhouse. A great day was had be all that participated, great work kids.
Door Knock
The 2009 total for the Surf Safe Appeal Door Knock stands at $16,350.
To promote the Surf Safe Appeal some of our nippers appeared on the Kerrie-Ann show with Emily-Jade, Zane Holmes & Shannon Eckstein.
Grants and Sponsors
Westpac Kippa-Ring have been successful in a local community grant securing us $2000 worth of oxygen equipment.
Also thanks to BMD Construction for their kind donation, through the Surf Safe Appeal, of an ATV to our club.
This season we have also received:
- Telstra Grant application to the tune of $4000 worth of patrolling equipment
- $4000 for club maintenance through the Department of Emergency Services
- Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Grant of $4500 towards new boards for the juniors
This has seen the club off to a good start with our fundraising for the year.
