U8-10 Nippers

We have a nipper program that is run every Sunday morning from 8:30am during the months of September through to March. Nippers are aged between 6 and 13 years of age and there is a cadet program for the older teenagers. Families often stay to enjoy fellowship over a BBQ at the end of the morning.

Boards

U8-U13 use foam boards only. Nippers in the 8-10 age group are not allowed to compete on fibreglass boards and are not permitted to train on these boards.

Carnivals

The focus at these carnivals will be on removing the competition for places and encouraging more children to have a go and assist all competitors to finish the event. Due to this new concept and the expected saving in time by not running finals, it is envisaged that there will be more than one race in particular events, e.g. there may be time for two board races or two surf swims during the day as well as running all the other events. No additional nomination fee is required for the extra events that may be run on the day of the carnival.
